The Paper Agents Association exists to promote a better and closer understanding among accredited agents and mill-owned Sales Offices in the United Kingdom and Eire representing overseas Paper and Board Makers,
and to represent their legitimate overall best interests in the local market.

There are 39 Members of the Association ranging from small independently owned businesses to the UK Sales subsidiaries of multinational paper-making Companies.

Between them they account for some 40% of all the Paper and Board consumed in the UK.

Members of the Association are divided into four Sections representing the various grades of Paper and Board imported.

These are:

Section 1: Publication and Fine Papers

Section 2: Corrugated Case Materials

Section 3: Packaging, Industrial and Other Papers

Section 4: Cartonboards, Industrial and Other Boards

The Association is represented on the Board of
Paperpak Limited
(the "paper specific" compliance scheme for members with obligations under the Packaging Waste Regulations)

The Association is also represented on the Board of
PEFC UK Limited
(Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification -
an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainably managed forests
through independent third party certification. )
